Reverend Dr. Stanley R. Flowers was born in Monrovia, Liberia to Elder Stanley and Sister Nancy Flowers on February 23rd. He graduated from St. Samuel High School and Monrovia Bible College with an Associates degree. He was called into ministry in May 1980 and preached his initial sermon in August 1982. He was licensed to preach in the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) in 1983. He served as associate minister at Geda AME Church, Brewerville, Liberia until 1986 under the leadership of Bishop Vernon R. Byrd. He appointed him as pastor of Greene Memorial AME Church in Liberia. The church had 15 members upon his appointment and the membership grew to 200 members by 1988.

He moved to the United States in 1988 and enrolled at Allen University. During his college years, he served on the Student Counsel, Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges award. He was President of the International Student Counsel. He graduated in 1993 from Allen University with Magna Cum Laude honors and a double major in Psychology and Sociology. He graduated on May 17, 2013, from Payne Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. On August 25, 2022, he received his Doctor of Ministerial Leadership from Columbia International University.

He is married to the lovely Mrs. Ivy Anthony Flowers. They have two sons Stanley Lenjaine Flowers who recently got engaged 2023 to Nik'toshia Giles (Nick) and Vincent Anthony ( wife LaToya Anthony) They have three grandchildren LaCoya, Vincent Jr., and Key'Shawn. Reverend Flowers' favorite scripture is Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Chris is Jesus".
